Comment from Dave on 2017-12-21 10:09:18: I just visited my parents at this nasty unkept bug ridden roach motel. My next step is to HUD, As I have been a HUD inspector in the past as well as a building performance expert, Building Scientist, EPA lead inspector ETC. The number of bedbugs alone in just the books retained in the library as well as the roaches constitutes a major health hazard for the residents. The Air conditioning system and duck system in the building is filled with mold which is a Legionnaires disease outbreak looking to happen. Looking forward to a full inspection report. Karen is also one of the most hateful racial people I have ever meet. ( yes African Americans can be a RACIST.) She has even made the comment that if she has her way the building will all be black (Chocolate was her word) Before you think I am just a white person hating on a black person you are wrong! I am Native American and I know oppression better than any Black person. The attempt for Karen to Evict my Mom is one of the most hateful, Raciest and spiteful things I have ever seen. She is Bed ridden and unable to do much. My Dad is just and Old man that is loosing his mind and wits. This would account for the somewhat unsanitary conditions she says exists. They also let my Sister and her daughter spend a few nights with them trying to be the compassionate people they are. They were just trying to help keep them off the street for a few days. Has this caused anyone physical harm? (NO) Do they need help? Yes they do. Instead of being a rude and hateful person add to that not enough guts to knock on the door to hand my dad the notice she just gave them. She slid it under the door and ran. I was there for this one. Karen could help. I live 4+ Hours away and do best I can and work. Some caring NON- Profit organization this is... William D. Brown William D. The unpleasant experiences I encountered there over a 10year occupancy are endless even before Karen and after Karen the new Manager there. I've gotten to know them all. including Ben, Kave and Kave's replacement, Paty the housekeeping ingenier ;wow her female staff I can't say I respect any of them. Ben can't give you an answer but he's the Maintenance Manager. Someone above the housing authority's sections board needs to investigate the handling of sections8 applicants July/august2020 thru October 2020 at Westminster Canterbury Apts at 229 S Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach FL. There was dirty filthy stuff going on.And Karen was no longer the Managet she had been replaced/ Check into it But you probably won't find it...they are good at this.
