Details: Providence Dolores House, a HUD-subsidized apartment building located in north Seattle, is nestled among tall trees and greenery, making some of the 1- and 2-bedroom apartments feel as if they are treehouses. Providence acquired Providence Dolores House in 2018 in order to provide residents with a high-quality, affordable place to call home for low-income households with a member who is 18 years of age or older with a verifiable disability. In addition to providing residents with an affordable place to call home, we offer services coordination to help our residents identify and access community resources. One of the best things about living here is the feeling of living in the trees. Many of the apartments at Providence Dolores House overlook Piper’s Creek, a protected ravine full of beautiful trees, and home to wildlife. We have 14 2-bedroom apartments and 2 1-bedroom apartments, with an elevator to serve all three floors. Several apartments are designed for people with mobility needs, with roll-in showers, wider doorways, and lower counters. Amenities Include: Full kitchen; Private bathroom with tub or walk-in/roll-in shower, complete with grab bars; Mobility apartments available; Shared laundry facilities; Mailbox delivery; A community patio overlooking the wooded ravine; One small pet allowed with a pet deposit. Providence Dolores House residents have formed a close community, often gathering in the lobby to chat and share their stories. Regular meetings provide residents further opportunities to get to know each other, and to participate in planning activities for the community. Regularly scheduled activities include: Monthly birthday party; Summer cookout on the patio; Holiday gatherings.
