Details: The Hillview Senior Citizens Complex was conceived and developed by James L. Whitis. It was Mr. Whitis' desire to provide clean and affordable housing for the seniors and disabled of our area. This vision has been accomplished, and continues to serve the senior and disabled citizens of the community. An Efficiency Apartment consists of a living room with a bedroom separated by accordian style doors. The Efficiency Apartments also have a large bathroom and a small utility room. The kitchen is furnished with a range and refrigerator. Each apartment has sliding glass doors that open to either a patio or balcony. These apartments are energy efficient. Each has an individual heating and air unit, ample closet space, and cable hook-ups. Energy efficient apartments with "U" shaped kitchen, range and refrigerator provided. Also has a living room area, bedroom, large bath, and small utility room. Sliding glass doors open to access a patio or balcony. Each has an individual heating and air unit, ample closet space, and cable hook-ups. Hillview Apartments have award winning gardens, holiday decorations, well lit and clean hallways with photo murals. We also have holiday parties, concerts, bingo, Sunday Services, pitch-in dinners, and pizza parties. Our Community Room is always open for bingo, card games, and puzzles. We have a 65" wide screen television with a DVD/VCR player, and a piano for the enjoyment of our residents. The complex has a laundry facility on each floor. Our large Community Room with a commons kitchen is also available to residents for family gatherings, showers, and meetings.
