Details: St. John’s Housing Corporation is a government subsidized apartment complex for very low and low income people. The units are specifically designed to meet the needs of the elderly and handicapped/disabled. It provides freedom for each individual to live a complete and comfortable lifestyle. There are 125 one bedroom units including 13 handicapped and 6 efficiency apartments. Each unit has a carpeted bedroom and either a carpeted or vinyl floor in the living room. The kitchen has a vinyl floor and is furnished with a stove, refrigerator, and microwave plus a dishwasher (in most units). Each bath has an emergency pull cord and safety handrails in the shower or bathtub. There is ample closet/storage space in each unit including a kitchen pantry. Each unit has individually controlled temperature, pre-wired phone jacks, cable hookup, and an air conditioner. Amenities: Community dining room with kitchen facilities making it convenient to entertain. This area is available to all tenants for social functions; Community lounge on each floor; Sun room; Outdoor gazebo; Entertainment and other events; Weekly chapel services; Nutrition meal site; Beauty shop on site; Tips-n-Toes foot-care on site; Free wireless internet access; Garages depending on availability; Off-street parking for tenants; Enclosed Basement storage area depending on availability​; Laundry facilities on each floor; Office and Maintenance personnel on site; Elevator services to all floors; Security entrance system; Security cameras; 24-hour monitored smoke/fire alarm system; Medical pendants; Medical alarm pull cords installed in bathrooms; On site Food Pantry; Walk-in showers in many units; Smoke free facility
