Comment from Mr. Protester on 2021-01-05 18:32:46: Greetings MERRY CHRISTMAS... the Columbia Heights Village Tenants Assoc hosted a Winter Harvest Holiday Basket for the poor this past week. A Mrs Hall was kind enough to sign me up for a Turkey & her crew set me up with all the fix'ns I tried to find an email address & was not able to- so I decided to post this here hoping Mrs Hall & her whole crew would read this... I just put my Turkey in the oven on a bed of filtered water & vegetables... I usually cook it like that for two hours & then add the apple cinnamon stuffing- this year I also added blackberries to the stuffing... I then pour Olive Oil over the Turkey to baste & repeat at stuffing... the Turkey should be done around midnight & then I will turn off the oven & let it stay warm until tomorrow AM... I drain off the drippings [water & veggies] at stuffing & have already added the giblets to that & it is simmering for the Gravy... I went into detail because none of this would be happening without your generosity & I wanted to share the whole experience with you. May GOD Bless you & continue to bless others through you.
