Details: Casa del Rio offers eighty-two 1 bedroom apartments and two 2 bedroom apartments. All units are unfurnished. A wheel chair can enter and navigate all units, and three units are designated as wheel chair accessible. All apartments have gas ranges, refrigerators, and refrigerated air conditioning. The grounds are nicely landscaped with trees, shrubs and grass and the apartments are located near the beautiful Rio Grande River with a view of the majestic Caballo Mountains. A fulltime maintenance staff takes care of the apartments and grounds, maintaining a high standard of excellence. There are laundry facilities and a community center on the premises. There is nearby meal site which serves lunch Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and where bingo games are conducted two times a week. Casa del Rio is located approximately two miles from downtown Truth or Consequences where you can find churches, banks, beauty shops, barbers, restaurants, movie rentals, post office, drug store, shops lawyers and hot mineral bath houses. It is also just a few miles from the Community Theatre, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (foster grandparent, senior companion and home share). Senior Citizens Program (meal site, home care services and home delivered meals), Senior Joint Office on Aging, City Library, bowling center and the Municipal Golf Course. Approximately five miles away is Elephant Butte Lake State Park, a nice spot for picnicking, camping, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, and boating fun.
