Details: Catholic Presbyterian Apartments is a comprehensive retirement facility designed to provide an independent living environment for seniors of low income. Opened in 1972 with the promise of a comfortable, attractive lifestyle, the 195-unit complex has evolved into a community of friends and neighbors to become an integral part of downtown Baton Rouge. The apartments are subsidized by Housing and Urban Development under their Section 8 rules and regulations. Located on the edge of the Spanish Town Historic District and adjacent to the downtown Central Business District, our residents enjoy the peace and solitude of a quiet residential neighborhood while being within easy walking distance of the downtown churches, banks, library, shops, Market Place shopping, parks and cultural attractions. The latter includes museums and various Arts and Craft Festivals, just to name a few. The concept of “Independent Living for the Elderly” is maintained today with expanded and improved services offered to make living at Catholic Presbyterian Apartments more enjoyable, convenient and comfortable than ever before.
