Details: CARC is the managing agent for three HUD subsidized apartment complexes. The two complexes in Lake Charles are located at 145 Hathaway Street and at 502 Louie Street. Our third complex is located at 3905 Maplewood Drive in Sulphur. These complexes afford opportunities to people with low income and developmental disabilities to live in the community with the support level they require to meet their needs. All apartments are one bedroom units and each complex has an onsite manager to address tenant needs. Rent is based on the person's income and CARC maintains the complexes to ensure the safety and security of the tenants. These complexes work hand in hand with CARC's Supervised Independent Living and Personal Care Attendant Services to provide the needed supports for the residents.
