Details: Oak Ridge Townhouses, located off Colonial Drive in north Towanda, was developed by Trehab and Monarch Development Group, a Pennsylvania for-profit corporation. Trehab manages this development, along with three other housing development sites in Bradford County. Major site excavation work of this 8.95 acre site was completed, which included extensive in-ground utility installation to support the 40 townhouses. The first two buildings of this $6 million development were completed and rented in January of 2009. Construction of all 8 buildings was completed in May of 2009, with all townhouses rented as of June of 2009. This site provides 40 energy efficient townshouses for low-to-moderate income working people. There are 28 two-bedroom and 12 three-bedroom units in seven residential buildings, and one building containing a community room and offices. Several units are handicap accessible. Each townhouse is heated, has central air conditioning, and appliances are provided. Ample on-site parking is available. The site is located in a strategic location that provides easy access to Rt. 6 and Rt. 220, to major employers in Bradford County, and to a large variety of services including banks, a grocery store, restaurants, doctor offices, a hospital, convenience stores, and is withing a few miles of an elementary-high school, as well as day care centers.
