Comment from Middlefield resident on 2025-05-04 01:31:30: POSITIVES: Beautiful building. Set back from the main road is a plus. Bright high ceiling apartments. Convenient inside access to garbage chute and mail boxes. Nice layout. Big community room with full kitchen, upstairs library. Very impressive when you walk in. Just don't look at the floors. NEGATIVES: Manager is here, if we are lucky, maybe twice a week and rarely here over 4 hours on those days. Maintenance about the same as manager. Wallick corporation stopped cleaning the community areas years ago. Carpets look horrible. Windows not washed in years. When the sun shines thru the community area windows, it is embarrassing how filthy they are. We try to clean but we are old! Not easy.(Our cleaning responsibility should be our apartments... not the whole building) Lobby floor only gets cleaned by maintenance when an inspector is coming. Maybe once or twice a year. Residents try to mop but it's hard. We have made numerous requests for a cleaning crew for common areas to no avail. The no smoking rule (not just inside building but all the grounds PER our lease) is no longer enforced. Manager & maintenance smoke on the property, so do residents. It's a lovely place to live and it is sad Wallick must not think cleaning is part of upkeep.
