Details: Kearney Housing Agency manages 28 Public Housing apartments, known as East View Court. Residents are responsible for their apartment. MHA does maintenance, lawn care and snow removal. Residents are encouraged to plant and maintain flower gardens. The Tenant Association plans various social activities throughout the year. East View Court is a perfect example of small town living at its best. Within the town of Minden are the post office, grocery store, banks, restaurants, a Dollar General, hospital, and much more! The City of Minden is the Christmas City. The Kearney County Courthouse is decorated during the holiday season with over 12,000 colored lights. Its huge dome is a landmark visible for miles. Rent is based on either 30 percent of the adjusted gross income or a flat rent, whichever is lower. Flat rents vary depending on the size of the apartment.
