Details: Beal Street Square is a 1920s style courtyard community consisting of 80 new-construction workforce housing apartments, including 20 one and 60 two bedroom apartments and a community center. Community center will have a 24hr fitness area, laundry facility, computer lab and childrens playground. Each one and two-bedroom apartment will have their own front porch, energy-efficient appliances, dishwasher, central heating and cooling, large closets in an open floor plan design. Eight of these apartments will be fully handicapped accessible with walk-in showers and grab bars.The courtyards outside of each unit will have ample outdoor seating, grill and picnic shelters, community gardens and recreation areas. The Beal Street Square community will have many activities free and open to all residents including educational programs, community meetings, holiday parties, community police safety and awareness programs, and other informative meetings that all tenants may participate in. This community is also within walking distance of the OIC Family Medical Center, Braswell Library, Sunset Park, and the Imperial Center for Arts and Sciences which includes a Childrens Museum, Art Gallery and Community Theatre.
