Details: Inman Acres Public Housing is located in Russell, Arkansas, a small rural community that is just a short drive from Bald Knob and Searcy. Russell offers a quiet neighborhood, excellent for raising a family or enjoying retirement. The Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge also known as the Hurricane Game Refuge is located one-half mile southwest of Bald Knob and is bordered by the Little Red River. The refuge has historically wintered large concentrations of waterfowl and is home to a pair of bald eagles. The refuge offers a great place to deer hunt and fish. The Little Red River provides excellent Rainbow Trout fishing and makes this area one of the most popular in the state for water sports. Greers Ferry Lake also within driving distance offers many scenic areas for family outings and extended camping trips. Searcy, Arkansas, located only 17 miles south of Russell, offers a wide array of family activities, such as great shopping and an excellent variety of fabulous restaurants. Inman Acres is a short drive from the Bald Knob Medical Center and the White River Rural Health Clinic. It is also less than 30 minutes from one hospital in Searcy, White County Medical Center. A local pharmacy is located near this facility. Inman Acres is a 25 unit, multi-family, income-based apartment complex featuring ten 1-bedroom units, eight 2-bedroom units, and seven 3-bedroom units. The three bedroom units have one and a half bathrooms. Each spacious unit includes range, refrigerator, washer and dryer hook-ups, central heat and air, and a large yard. Pull cord emergency call switches are available in all of the elderly/disabled units. Inman Acres provides affordable housing for both elderly and family residents. Rent is based on income. Water, sewer, and trash collection are paid by the landlord.
