Comment from Bethany on 2014-12-28 02:40:06: This apartment complex has reviews about the tenants being abused by staff. I contacted the manager about the posts. I simply asked her if she was aware. I told her I was concerned because my mother is deaf and I have POA that allows me full access. Her response to me was that she couldn't comment because it was under new management. Later I find that she threatens my mother by saying "I won't talk to your daughter again. She's rude. We will terminate any lease if they can't cooperate with us." Are you freaking kidding me! It is well within my right to inquire about any past incidents and to ensure my mother is safe! She constantly hangs up on me and refused to accept the POA - a legal binding document. Not to mention my mother has asthma and her doctor even had to go as far as sending them documentation stating if they did not clean the apartment, ensure no more smoke went into the apartment, and that it was up to code she would be forced to contact the Health Department. Now there will be legal action and the Health Department on this womans case because she doesn't understand how to treat a human being!

Comment from Kathy on 2014-12-15 20:14:55: They have a sign in front NOW RENTING! This man saw me three times. He told me about the rent amount and deposit on my last visit. Later, he sends word to me there is a waiting list. Something he should have told me on day one! ): I am so depressed and sad over this I don\\'t know what to do. I am disabled, living with my daughter and she is loosing her home. She and her husband paid $60,000 already leaving a balance of 3,000. He passed away and she can\\'t come up with the rest of the money so, she has to move. People can be so unfair these days. So, now, she and I are stuck going our separate way, finding a place to live in a short time, and I have to live in my car. Rent and power is just to much for someone like me on a fixed income. The point of my story is..... I wasting so much time trying to get up every thing that I needed for the apartment at Vaughn Towers and he never mentioned to me about a waiting list. I was counting on this apartment and now I\\'m homeless. What am I supposed to do
