Details: Hawthorne House is a 61-unit, 2-story complex. Rents are subsidized by USDA/RD and is based on 30% of the gross adjusted income. The complex has an elevator, social room with full kitchen for social/family events, and coin operated laundry rooms. Barbecuing is not allowed on patios, 2nd story complex, or undercover. It is only a short walk to Safeway, McDonald’s and Starbucks. This community has most banks and churches represented as well as other services, including medical doctors and clinics within one mile. The Lewis River, Horseshoe Lake, and the Columbia River are within one mile of Hawthorne. Trout, Steelhead and Salmon fishing is only 10 miles up Lewis River Road to Merwin Dam. One bedroom, one bath units rent for up to $680 per month (depending on income), and two bedroom, one bath units rent for up to $770 per month (depending on income). Water, sewer and garbage are paid and cable is provided at a discounted rate per month. Application fee is $41 per applicant, Security Deposit is $275 and we gladly accept pets (one dog or cat, not over 20 lbs) with a $100 Pet Deposit. Rent subsidies are available depending on eligibility.
