Comment from Christine Updegraff on 2017-05-04 13:48:09: The conditions of my apartment are unacceptable. When I arrived here from out of state the apartment was to be move in ready and wasn't. There was cat feces on the carpeting and the strong odor of cat urine. I was told that the cleaning service Premier Carpet Care that Maco was contracted with had cleaned the carpet but that was clearly not the case as I entered to view it. The day that I was to move in my daughter and her husband had taken a 1/2 day off from work to help get the uhaul unloaded. When we saw that the carpet needed to be treated I had to call Servepro to clean the carpet because Premier Carpet Care was not able to come and take care of what they originally were to have done before my arrival. After I had paid Servepro I was told that since they were not contracted with Maco that the cost for service they provided would not be reimbursed to me nor would Maco give me a first monthly rental adjustment to compensate for my out of pocket expense of $125. Poor customer service! I was unemployed at the time so I could not afford to find housing elsewhere unfortunately and particularly on such short notice. After moving in I also learned that the prior tenant not only had cats but the sewer backed up into the apartment hallway as well which was supposedly taken care of by Premier Carpet Care as well. The carpet is in very poor condition. I have tried to treat it as best as I know how. The odor is particularly nauseating when the humidity is high and during rainy conditions. Maco has stated that they will not be removing the carpet until such time that I move out. Hmm. I have had respiratory problems since moving in and have been told by the health department that I need to contact the attorney general to see what help is possible in getting the carpet removed so I can improve my living conditions.

Comment from No name on 2017-08-12 06:05:00: I would like to say that the manager that lives on these apt grounds is causing me a lot of grief along with my roommate . I am unsure how all of this is supposed to work. Me and my friend have had an agreement since I am pregnant and he needs in home health care provided to him that I would be allowed to stay here for a total of 3 months with paying an amount of $100 a month for the bedroom that is provided to me . I find the letter that we received today unfair due to the fact that I've paid my part of his rent and he is on rental assistance . So I need this matter resolved immodetely due to the fact I am pregnant and will be homeless due to this situation . THANKYOU gornyour time .
