Comment from bow777 on 2014-12-15 19:38:45: Yes, i certainly do have experience living at Montrose Country Estates.. It was a fairly nice place until Carrie Ann MacDowell became manager. She broke all the rules and made her own!!!!!! She and JIM, who was suppose to be the maintenance man, however he was allowed to to enforce his rules on tenants, as well drink and drug on the job. This was a situation Carrie Ann was well aware of! She lived with the man ,(Jim) on the property. She and her sons and Jim lived at the Beech Trail apts, all owned by Kato Enterprise. Carrie Anns boss was made aware of the situation. This is againts policy!!!!! As well as living there scott free. Who gets away with that these days? Carrie Ann... She became a bully to the tenants. she discriminated against me and was allowed to take it to the next level and evict me.. BECAUSE I SLAMMED A DOOR! i Didnt have rights as a resident/tenant. In 2007 my youngest son committed suicide. My mental state wasnt good.The tenants below me were disruptive, slamming every door inside and out,thowing stuff against the walls, yealing, arguing, smoking in the hallway. was allowed to get away with it all because they were friends of carrie ann's. I made several complaints, nothing was done i had no rights because she didnt like me and she wanted me out. She saw an opportunity to prey on my fulnerability while i was greiving the loss of my son. One evening a door slamming session started, i opened my apt door as the women down stairs was hollaring,""If u MF's don't quit slamming doors im going to call the cops. When ,she finished i slammed my door. I shouldnt have participated in the incident. Today i would have made a wiser choice all the way around. I called Kato to get some help dealing with the neighbors downstairs,Carrie Ann's boss came out the following Monday told me if i wanted to talk to her to come to Carrie's office. I felt it was a no win situation,... If i didnt go it would look like, i wasnt serious, if i did go I wasnt sure, but figured it probably wouldnt be good because carrie ann didnt like me and wanted me out and she would have the upper hand no matter what. Was i right ?? Yeah. Sure was.. She took me to court 4 months later over the door slamming event. She couldnt find anything else to pin on me. RETALIATION!!!!! Try to prove it though.. At that point i said to my attorney "she'll put me threw hell if i stay,. She couldnt get me out on that alone so she had her attorney hold up my file to the judge indicating the depth of the file was mostly complaints... NOT.... Again i lived there 7 yr's, course my file's going to be thick... She's a piece of work... Future tenant's BEWARE!!! .... CARRIE ANN MACDOWEL is a con artist ... PLEASE PEOPLE DONT RENT THERE IF U HAVE ANy SELF RESPECT AND CLASS.. mONTROSE COUNTRY ESTATES ARE THE PROJECTS!! She and Jim had all the beautiful trees cut down which is what made it look so countryish. The place is only rent tothose whom Carrie Ann feels she can truely control, the impoverished.. im speaking the truth. One of my best freinds still live there ,so i know Carrie Ann continues to enforce her rules as she likes things. Its been almost 7 yr's since i left, and im not allowed to visit my best freind . That's not leagal . Who does this women think she is??? My freind's afraid shell get kicked out if i come visit her. Its a HOUSE OF HORROR'S.. God's truth'' P.S. @ yr's after i left the place she wrote up a damage sheet adding up to 480.00. She made it look like i punched holes in the wall's and i lived like a pig. I've always kept a clean home wher evere i am. Anyone who knows me will testify to that. It's like every shance she got to stick it to me she did. For years after i left the place. Now she got that applied to my public record ..all of it.. If u dont get the point by now??????????
