Comment from Amy Michelle Ortega on 2021-05-19 18:39:05: My son is a disabled child who attends Edward A. Upthegrove. We are having a very hardtime finding an apartment that is available for his needs as well as mine as his care giver. He can only attend his current classroom due to the demands of his disability. It is very unfortunate that Pollywog Creek Commons has so many units available to fit our needs yet because we are not agricultural farm workers, therefore we do not qualify. I understand the needs for migrant farmworkers and can sympathize with how people can discriminate. However, with my son we also suffer the same kinds of discrimination and minimalization from society. It would be a blessed service if your community would also include a single mother with a disabled child to be able to enjoy the same inclusiveness as well as what you afford migrate workers. I hope your community would reconsider these restrictions since there is really no other places available for my son to be able to attend school and enjoy the community of LaBelle.
