Details: QLS Haven is a well-rounded active senior community. It is home to 120 Residents, age 62 to 98. Residents enjoy a ground level cottage-style community with individual patios. Various services are provided to seniors by home care agencies based on need. Educational sessions are held to keep the residents informed (ie: Medicare & Medicaid, Food Stamps, Energy Assistance, Social Security and more). A Wellness and Socialization program includes activities and events that are very engaging and helps prevent depression and loneliness (blood pressure checks, annual cancer walks, birthday celebrations, holiday celebrations, Veteran’s Day celebration, wellness bingo, football tailgate gatherings and more!). The Haven has four (4) ADA raised vegetable gardens and an in-ground garden. The gardens give residents an opportunity to fellowship while they’re “playin the dirt”. Planting, maintaining and harvesting fresh vegetables are done by the Haven residents and staff. The QLS Haven staff consists of individuals who are caring and supportive.
