Comment from Nelson Wang on 2024-10-03 17:34:30: Dear CASA VICTORIA HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY Management Office, I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Nelson, a disabled American citizen who became disabled a decade ago due to an assault by three robbers in the subway on the 7 train. Since last year, I have been undergoing a series of treatments for physical pain and receiving long-term care. Currently, I am in the midst of medical treatments and actively participating in English language learning programs. I have consistently fought against illness and adversity, striving to break free from challenges with unwavering strength. Now that I am over sixty years old, I hope to transition away from the Chinese community in Flushing and integrate into mainstream American society in my later years. Recently, I have begun exploring senior apartments in the Manhattan area. I am writing this letter to obtain an application form and hereby request you to reserve an opportunity for me. If I am chosen to be a tenant in a senior apartment, I will promise to abide by the management regulations of the apartment, maintain cleanliness and tranquility, actively participate in community service activities, and voluntarily contribute to improving community culture and environment. Just to clarify, although I am disabled, I can walk and live independently. I just couldn't raise my arms high because I was so hurt in the back. My stay will not cause any inconvenience to you in terms of residential management, not to mention that I have home caregivers to help, adult day care centers, and insurance companies will also send drivers to take me to medical appointments or parties. Currently, I reside in a rented apartment, paying a monthly rent of $660, along with an average monthly energy cost of $125. My monthly income stands at $1,050 (SSI $638, SSD $325, OTDA SSP $87). I have Medicare and Medicaid both. Here are my contact details: Nelson Wang (SSN: XXX-XX-0570) Address: 35-05 Parsons Blvd., Apt.1H, Flushing, NY 11354 Mobile: 929.361.2922 / 917.754.6016 Email: mytownmyland@gmail.com In case of emergencies or necessary communication, my contact person and guardian are Ms.Shaomei Xu, the CEO of Livingwell Daycare Center LLC. You can reach her at the office: 137-81 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11354 Tel: 929.362.2477 / 929.300.2550 Fax: 929.362.2451 I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration of my application. If you require any additional information or documentation, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to the possibility of becoming a valued member of the senior apartment community. Sincerely Nelson Wang 02/22/2024
