Details: Wilkinson Manor/Jeffworth Apartments provide subsidized HUD housing to low income families, seniors over the age of 62, and individuals with a handicap or disability. It is our goal to provide safe and adequate housing to the area's economically disadvantaged and to charge rent for the housing based upon one's ability to pay. This is done through Section 8 assistance where tenants typically pay 30% of their income to rent. Wilkinson Manor is located at 919 Summit Ave. and is surrounded by a lovely wooded environment. This community is designed for independent seniors over the age of 62 or individuals with a handicap or disability. Conveniences within walking distance include: Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Wilkinson Clinic, Whitman Park Shopping Center, The Professional Building as well as numerous banks and local eateries. Services available from within Wilkinson Manor include: Silver Streak senior taxi service, hot noon lunch meal site, beautician, weekly mass, and activity programs. All 60 units are one bedroom and come equipped with appliances. The Jeffworth Apartments are located on the corner of 519 S. Worthington and 250 W. Jefferson Street. All 16 units have two bedrooms and are designed to accommodate families. Roosevelt Field is located directly across the street and offers a variety of recreation for children and adults. The apartments are within walking distance to the downtown shopping district and City Beach.
