Details: Located just a few minutes from downtown Pittsburgh in the community of McKees Rocks, Sto-Rox Plaza is a six-story building with 50 one-bedroom apartments. Opened in 1989, the facility offers a laundry room, craft room, spacious community room, kitchen, patio and a large lobby area. Each unit features a living-dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, wall-to-wall carpet, window curtains and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Catered meals, birthday celebrations and seasonal activities provide wonderful opportunities for residents to enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed, fun environment. Weekly activities include Bingo, card games, board games and movies in the community room. One favorite event is the monthly resident dinner prepared by the site manager and secretary. The residents look forward to enjoying a wonderful meal and time together with neighbors and staff. Sto-Rox is located near Focus on Renewal, a center that provides a multitude of health and social services to senior citizens in the community. Services include access to doctors, podiatrists and dentists. In addition, Sto-Rox is conveniently located near a grocery store, church, post office and shopping plaza. Easy access to public transportation makes trips to downtown and surrounding areas hassle-free.
