Details: Maplewood Apartments, constructed in 1973, consists of a six two-story apartment buildings, each with 16 units, in Lima, Ohio. An entity related to Levin Group, Inc., acquired the property in 2007. In 2008, the property was substantially renovated with the assistance of both the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Mark-to-Market Program, and use of Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). All garden style units are single level. The property site contains approximately 6-½ acres of land which allows for a large amount of green space for residents. Maplewood Apartments has 32 one-bedroom garden units consisting of 578 square feet; 48 two-bedroom garden units consisting of 749 square feet; and 16 three-bedroom garden units consisting of 857 square feet. All units are equipped with a range, refrigerator, air conditioning, disposal and carpeting. Extensive rehabilitation was completed in 2008 to the interior and exterior of the entire apartment complex. Improvements included updated soffit and fascia to the exterior of the building, additional site and building lighting, renovation of the parking lot and outside common areas, new roofs, insulated vinyl siding, new play equipment, new kitchens, new doorways and windows, life safety equipment, security camera upgrades, and interior facelifts such as painting, new flooring and all new bathroom tubs and fixtures.
